Salawat, Salaam and Barakah upon (His) (Best) Servant & (also Final) Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, his Noble Family and all his Noble Companions (the Sahaba)

Assalamu alaikum! Whether you are opening the Quran for the first time, improving your recitation, memorizing a few ayahs, or revising many juz, this reader is here to make your practice easier and more consistent.

Read the familiar Indo-Pak 15-line Mushaf, listen to a reciter, repeat what you are learning, and test yourself—on a phone or computer. You can begin with just one verse. Small, regular steps matter.

This guide explains the buttons in plain language. You do not need to learn everything at once.

1. Your first five minutes

  1. Start reading. On the opening index, choose Read the Holy Quran. This opens Comfort view at your current or last remembered page in this browser.
  2. Press Play. Listen to the recitation and follow the softly highlighted verse.
  3. Tap an ayah. Choose Play this verse to hear it alone, or Repeat this verse to practise it.
  4. Open Repeat. Select a practice mode, the ayah or range, how many times to play, and any pause you want.
  5. Practise, then check. From the index, open Reading tools and use Memorize to hide the page and recite from memory. Reveal it to check yourself.

The opening index

On the opening index, choose Bn just left of ? to open the Bangla interface. Choose En there to return to English. Your current reading page, account records and downloaded Quran pages are shared in the same browser.

Indo-Pak Quran (IPQ) opens with eight main options: Read the Holy Quran, Select a Sura, Select a Juz, Go to a page, Select Repeat Options, Open Bookmarks, Track Your Memorization and Download Quran pages. Tap ? at the top right for this guide.

While reading, tap the Home icon in the top bar to return to the index. Returning to the index stops recitation. The Reading tools link below the index options opens the detailed verse selector, memorisation tools, progress and other reading controls.

New to the app? Try one ayah three times, then recite it yourself. That is already a useful first session.

Especially useful for Hifz and revision

2. Repeat: learn at your own pace

Repeat is more than a way to hear audio again. It lets you turn listening into focused practice: listen carefully, try to recall the words, and repeat until you are ready to move forward.

How to open Repeat

  1. Choose Select Repeat Options on the index, or tap Repeat in the reader’s audio controls.
  2. The Choose a Repeat Option window opens.
  3. Choose one of the modes below.
  4. Choose a Sura and the starting/ending ayahs when those fields are shown.
  5. Set Number of plays (total) and an optional Pause between repetitions.
  6. Press Apply, then press Play to begin the practice.

Which Repeat option should I choose?

Off — normal page playback

Listen to the current page normally, without a repeat practice loop. Choose this when you simply want to follow the recitation.

Single Verse/Ayah

Choose one ayah and hear it several times. Best for a new verse, a difficult phrase, pronunciation practice, or an ayah you keep forgetting.

Example: Ayah 5, three plays → 5 · 5 · 5.

Single Verse/Ayah then advance

Choose a starting and ending ayah. The app repeats each ayah the selected number of times before moving to the next. This is especially helpful when memorizing new material one ayah at a time.

Example: Ayahs 1–3, three plays → 1 · 1 · 1 → 2 · 2 · 2 → 3 · 3 · 3.

Repeat a Verse Range

Choose a beginning and ending ayah. The app plays the whole selected passage in order, then repeats that same passage. Use this after you know the individual ayahs and want to connect them smoothly.

Example: Ayahs 1–3, two plays → 1 · 2 · 3 → 1 · 2 · 3.

Repeat a complete Sura

Select a sura and practise it from beginning to end, repeating the complete sura the number of times you choose. Especially convenient for short suras and for revision of a sura you already know.

Example: Al-Ikhlas, three plays → the entire sura, then the entire sura again, then once more.

Understand the repeat settings

Quick shortcut: Tap an ayah directly on the Quran page and choose Repeat this verse. The app opens the Repeat settings with that ayah selected.

Four practical ways to learn with Repeat

  1. First-time learner: Choose Single Verse/Ayah, 3 or 5 plays, and a 2-second pause. Listen and imitate the reciter.
  2. Learning several new ayahs: Choose Single Verse/Ayah then advance. Give every ayah enough attention before moving on.
  3. Joining memorized ayahs: Choose Repeat a Verse Range. Hear the ayahs flow together, then try reciting the entire passage without looking.
  4. Daily revision: Choose Repeat a complete Sura, or a verse range for a smaller assignment. Listen once, then use Memorize mode to test yourself.

A gentle reminder: Repetition supports learning, but memorization also needs active recall. After listening, pause and try reciting without the page. If you make a mistake, return to the difficult ayah and practise again. Progress does not need to be rushed.

3. Reading, listening and viewing

The familiar printed page

The reader uses the Indo-Pak 15-line Mushaf layout, with printed page numbers 2–611. This helps students who learn from the same printed edition keep their visual memory of the lines and page positions.

Play, listen and follow

Press Play for verse-by-verse recitation by Shk Abdullah Basfar. The current ayah is highlighted as the audio plays. You can also tap an individual ayah and select Play this verse.

On a phone, the audio controls appear below the Quran page; scroll down if needed. On a wide desktop window, they appear beside the page when space permits, otherwise below it. Use Play, Pause and Resume, select a playback Speed, or use the seek slider to move through the page audio. The top-bar play button also controls recitation. Reset Audio stops playback, clears the Repeat settings and returns speed to 1.0×.

Comfort view and page turns

Comfort view is the standard reading layout on phones and computers. It enlarges the printed text proportionately by trimming spare margins from the displayed scan. Verse selection and green highlighting follow the displayed text. You do not need to choose another view or use the old Zoom controls.

Swipe horizontally on the Quran page to turn pages, or use the Next Quran page and Previous Quran page arrows in the top bar. If a gesture does not respond on your device, use the arrows.

5. Memorize, test yourself and track progress

Memorize mode: hide the page, then reveal it

From the index, open Reading tools, then press Memorize. The Quran page is covered with a Recite from memory prompt. Recite aloud, then tap the cover to reveal the text and check your accuracy. Use Hide page to try again. When Memorize mode is on, newly opened pages start covered.

Local Reading tools marks (separate from your account tracker)

When you can confidently recite a page, choose Mark memorized in Reading tools. The button changes to ✓ Memorized. You can tap it again if you need to undo the mark.

Review at regular intervals

In Reading tools, the Progress tab shows how many of the 610 Quran text pages you have marked as memorized, including a percentage and progress bar. A memorized page that has not been reviewed for 7 days appears under Due for review. After revising it, press Reviewed to restart its review timer.

Suggested daily routine: Review yesterday's ayahs → learn a small new passage using Repeat → hide the page and recite → check mistakes → mark the page memorized only when you are ready. Even a short, focused session is worthwhile.

6. Download Quran pages for faster reading

On the index, choose Download Quran pages. The app saves the Quran page images and their verse-highlighting information in this browser on this device. You do not need to copy GIFs into a phone folder or choose a storage location.

  1. Use Wi-Fi if possible, and keep this browser tab open during the download.
  2. Choose Check size and updates to check the download, then Download / resume / update to save missing or updated files.
  3. Watch the progress and completion message. Use Pause download if needed, then the download/resume button to continue later.
  4. If all pages are already saved, the window reports this. Use Download all again if you want fresh copies of every page.

Audio stays online. Downloading the pages speeds up reading but does not make the entire app available offline. An internet connection is still needed for online audio and other app resources.

Saved pages belong to this browser and device. Another browser or device needs its own download. Private browsing and browser storage limits can affect retention. Clearing this site’s data can remove downloaded pages, bookmarks and progress; avoid doing this as a routine refresh. Remove saved pages removes the downloaded reading files, so they will need downloading again.

7. Track Your Memorization: your private record

Create an account and keep access safe

Choose Track Your Memorization on the opening index. It opens as a full page, with more room for the four tabs and your saved records. Choose Quran index to return to reading. Register with a display name, unique username, password and password confirmation. No email is required. Usernames use 3–30 English letters, numbers, dots, underscores or hyphens and must begin with a letter or number. Usernames are saved in lowercase. Use a strong password of at least 10 characters.

Save your recovery kit immediately. It contains your username and a one-use recovery code. Keep it somewhere private outside the app. If you forget your password, choose the forgotten-password option on the sign-in screen and enter your username, recovery code and new password. After a successful reset, save the replacement kit: the old code stops working. Never share your password or recovery code.

Choose one of four tabs

Enter the date memorised (today or an earlier date), then press Save. Wait for the success message. You may record any valid verse or range in any order, including separate passages from a long Sura; you do not have to start at verse 1 or finish earlier passages first.

Review and manage your own entries

Search, edit or remove your entries, or choose Download my records to keep a personal export. Overlapping verse entries count each verse once. Page and Juz totals remain separate from verse totals; saving a page or Juz does not automatically create individual verse entries.

Your saved tracking records belong to your account and are available when you sign in to that account on another device. Other ordinary users cannot view your records. An internet connection is needed to sign in and save tracking entries. Existing bookmarks, downloaded pages and the older Reading tools memorised-page marks remain separate and are not automatically imported into this tracker.

Use the account controls to change your password or replace your recovery code, and save any replacement kit immediately. On a shared device, leave Keep me signed in unticked and sign out when finished.

8. Frequently asked questions

Do I have to be memorizing the Quran to use this app?

Not at all. You can simply read, listen, follow the highlighted ayahs, or use Repeat to improve familiarity and fluency. Memorization tools are there whenever you want them.

Which Repeat option is best for a beginner?

Start with Single Verse/Ayah. When a few ayahs become familiar, try Single Verse/Ayah then advance. Use Repeat a Verse Range when you are ready to join them together.

What is the difference between “then advance” and “Verse Range”?

Then advance repeats Ayah 1 several times before Ayah 2. Verse Range plays Ayahs 1, 2, 3 in sequence and then repeats the whole sequence. Both are useful at different stages of learning.

Can I practise a full sura rather than selecting every ayah?

Yes. Open Repeat and choose Repeat a complete Sura, select the sura, and set the total number of plays.

Why does the printed page range begin at page 2?

The Quran text in this printed edition occupies pages 2–611; page 1 is normally front matter. The page selector follows the printed edition.

Why might my printed Quran have different page numbers?

Different Mushaf editions may have different page layouts. The page numbers here follow this Indo-Pak 15-line edition. You can still use the Sura/Ayah selector to find a specific verse.

Will my bookmarks and progress appear on another device?

Track Your Memorization records are saved to your account and appear when you sign in to that same account on another device. Bookmarks, the last opened page, downloaded Quran pages, and the older Reading tools memorised-page marks and review dates stay in this browser on this device. Clearing site data can erase those local items, but does not delete tracking records already saved to your account.

Does the app replace a Quran teacher?

No. Listening and repetition are helpful practice tools, but a qualified teacher can identify pronunciation and tajweed mistakes that the app cannot assess.

A final encouragement

Every ayah you read attentively, every repetition you listen to, and every honest attempt to recite from memory is part of your learning journey. Start with what you can manage today. Repeat patiently, revise regularly, and let your confidence grow one verse at a time.
